It's Over

Finally, August is over. The past month was so bad that it took me 3 extra days to even get on here and write about it ending.

Terrible, terrible month...

Hopefully September will bring some renewal, especially here at TheWriteJerry.

Most of my blogging efforts have been over at BentSense. Not that I've had a lot of time to blog. Being out of a job has brought me more work than I could have imagined. MrsWrite has started a new job, leaving me with primary day time care of BabyWrite as well as an increased housework load. As it should. After all, it's the only equitable and logical division of labor without hiring on help that we currently cannot afford.

So I squeeze in job hunting, blogging and bathroom necessities around feedings, dishes, laundry and play time.

But I should have my rhythm soon and that should lead to more posts over here.

Calling All Mommies (& Daddies Too!)

BabyWrite used to sleep all the way through the night (8pm to 6am) since she turned 7 weeks old.

Emphasis on USED TO :(

Now, at 5 months old, she has started to wake up at random times during the night.

Help!

How can we bring on the return of Through The Night BabyWrite???

R.I.P.

My father died today. At first it didn't register.

Now, several hours after finding out, here in the wee hours of the morning, my teeth hurt and I'm feeling queasy. That's most likely because I over ate at a BBQ at my in-laws' place.

But my father's death is beginning to sink in.

How am I ever going to handle a cross-country flight to the funeral and several days with my mom?

Dad is almost certainly resting more peacefully than I am...

Ho Hum...

Being home alone for an entire week while the wife and peanut are out of town and my son is at camp is very boring. I thought I'd get a bunch of writing done, make a dent on that stack of books by my bedside, and do some home improvement projects.

Well, except for doing some posting over on BentSense, I haven't done much more than nap. Next week I'll get busy for sure. A family man always works better when his family is around!
